All measurements are taken from the front, with the garment lying flat – in cm’s & inches; these are approximate measurements only.  

Our Measurements Include:

Shoulder to shoulder: From shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

Bust: From armpit to armpit, then doubled.

Length: From the highest point of the garment to the hem.

Waist: Across the smallest part of the waist, then doubled.

Hips: Across where the average hip falls, then doubled. 

Rise: From the crotch seam to the waistline.

Measure yourself using a soft garment measuring tape.  If you don’t have one, use a piece of string and measure this length against a ruler.  Measure according to how you want the garment to fit.  

Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. If you plan to wear a bra with the item, measure yourself with your bra on. 

Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waistline.

Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Rise: Measure from the crotch seam to the waistline of your pants.

If you love it, don’t lose it.

Most vintage pieces are rare finds that you may not ever come across again.  So if you love it, buy it.

There’s always the seamstress

If you fall in love with a piece, but the fit is not quite right, consider having it altered.  For most vintage times, minor alterations are easier than you think, and can be an affordable option to get the perfect tailored fit!

All Vintage items have been previously loved. Naturally, all vintage pieces will show some signs of age & wear. Any major flaws will be listed in the description. 

We list the general condition of each item based on the chart below.

MINT: Item is as perfect and pristine as it was originally made and shows no signs of wear.

NEAR MINT: Item shows only the slightest signs of wear.

EXCELLENT: Item shows typical signs of wear due to occasional use.

VERY GOOD: Item is considered wearable but has some surface flaws (scuffing, staining, or tears for example).

 - All vintage pieces are sold “as is”. 

 - All garments that can be washed, have been.  Those that cannot, have been thoroughly steamed.  

 - All items come from a smoke-free & pet-free environment.  

 - The colours of garments may appear slightly different in images due to different lighting. We try our best to show the colouring as accurately as possible.

 - If an item is listed as “Deadstock” vintage, these items have never been worn, and some (but not all) still have the original tags attached.

Our vintage Levis jeans, shorts and skirts are all re-modified from larger Vintage Levis Jeans.  This means that their size and cut is not the same as the tag or Levis label on the back. 

Most vintage denim is 100% cotton, and will ‘give’ or ‘stretch out’ up to ½ a size larger – depending on the denim. Our vintage Levis jeans, shorts and skirts will give, but tend to go back to their original shape after washing.  All of our denim is pre-washed and will take some wear to get the perfect fit. Always avoid pulling up any pants or jeans by the belt loops.  Only pull them up by the waistband.

Light Wash or Mid Wash

All our denim is over 20 years old, and each piece is one of a kind.  There will be slight variations in the shape, length, wash, fade, pockets and tags.  No two denim items are identical.  For this reason, we categorise our blue denim into light wash or mid wash.  When purchasing, you can choose between a light wash or mid wash – but remember your denim jeans, shorts or skirt will differ slightly in shade and length compared to the image.
